LPI Summer Internship 2023 is a 10 week fully funded internship program in the United States. International students from anywhere in the world are welcome to apply for this Summer Internship. You can apply if you are a student of any nationality. LPI Internship covers all expenses such as airfare, meals, accommodation, visa, and monthly stipend.

There is no application fee. No English Proficiency Test is required for these internships. The LPI internship does not require IELTS or GRE scores. It is one of the most beneficial internships to experience a completely different work environment. In March 2023, selected participants will be notified.

Physical or Natural Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics majors are preferred, but all eligible students will be considered. The above fields are preferred, but not mandatory. Please apply if you have any other academic background. On the southeast side of Houston, Texas, the LPI is close to NASA Johnson Space Center. LPI Internship Benefits

LPI is a fully funded internship. There will be no cost to you.

  • A stipend of up to $7,720 will be provided to interns to cover program-related expenses.
  • Tickets will be provided for the trip.
  • Interns from abroad will receive travel expenses of up to $500.
  • Expenses for housing and living will be covered.
  • Interns submitting abstracts to the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference as first authors will receive additional financial support. Travel expenses can be defrayed to the tune of $1,000 for domestic travelers and $1,500 for international travelers.

Internship fields

Students in physical or natural science, engineering, computer science, or mathematics are preferred, but all eligible students will be considered.

Eligibility criteria

  • Undergraduate students from all over the world are welcome to apply.
  • Your bachelor’s degree must be in a field relevant to this program if you hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-related field.
  • For 10 weeks, students must be willing to serve as interns.
  • Applicants will not be discriminated against based on their gender, age, color, disability, race, or religion.
  • It is NOT necessary to take IELTS/TOEFL if you have an English Proficiency Certificate from your university’s professor of English.

LPI Summer Internship 2023 Application Process

The application form must be filled out online. Applications submitted on paper will not be accepted. Online applications are the only ones accepted.

You must complete all questions on the application form, including essay-style questions. You will receive a confirmation email with your application number and a link to view the status of your reference letters upon submission.

In order to qualify for the program, you must submit two reference letters (a maximum of three) and official transcripts.
